Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald to deliver Wolfe Tone Bodenstown address today

Sinn Féin president Mary Lou McDonald.

Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald TD, will be the main speaker at a public meeting entitled, Building Ireland's Future, which is happening this Thursday night 28th of June at 8pm in the Landmark Hote;, Carrick-on-Shannon.   

Sligo/Leitrim Deputy Martin Kenny said, "The focus of the meeting will be the need for investment in the regions to deliver employment opportunities and improved income for everyone.  Providing for the health care and housing needs of all our people must also be prioritised.  

"The Sinn Féin leadership wants to inform communities and businesses in rural Ireland that we are on their side and we want to hear from them about the issues holding back progress and the solutions that informed public policy can provide.”

"Mary Lou McDonald will be meeting a number of groups separately before the public meeting on issues of agriculture, tourism and business and enterprise development in the area.  

"Sinn Féin is determined that as a party, in opposition or possibly in government, we are connected to the needs of communities across Ireland to achieve prosperity and sustainability for all. 

"The public meeting in The Landmark Hotel is open to everyone and time will be given for people to ask short questions or offer short contributions.”
