The following deaths have occurred in the wider Leitrim area:

Margaret Cunningham - Aughavas, Co Leitrim

The death has occurred of Margaret Cunningham (née McGirl), Kilmakenny, Doogra, Corriga, Aughavas, Co Leitrim and formerly Corduff, Cloone, Co Leitrim on Saturday, March 5th, peacefully at Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown, after a long illness bravely borne. Predeceased by her loving husband Bernard (Bernie) and her brother James. Margaret will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her adoring family, son Brian, daughters Mary (Dublin) and Una (London), daughter-in-law Yvonne, sons-in-law Bernard Corrigan and Quentyn Taylor, grandchildren Bláithnáid, Rían, Ellie and Enda, sisters-in-law Margaret and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at her residence until removal on Monday afternoon to arrive at St. Joseph's Church, Aughavas for funeral mass at 2pm with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. House private please. Margaret's funeral mass will be streamed live on http://churchtv.ie/aughavas.html

Nora Shanley - Dromod, Co Leitrim

The death has occurred of Nora Shanley (nee McGovern), Drumard, Dromod, Co Leitrim, on Friday, March 4th, peacefully, surrounded by her heartbroken family, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of the Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey. Predeceased by her husband Nicholas, son-in-law Niall, brother Aidan and sister Mena. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her children Elizabeth, Pat and Brendan, daughter-in-law Lorraine, grandchildren Gary, Aileen, Emma, Ciaran, Rian, Béibheann, Caolán and Faela, sisters Eileen and Mary, brothers John Francis and PJ, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. May Nora Rest in Peace. Funeral Mass for Nora will take place in St Joseph’s Church, Cloonturk, on Sunday at 12.30pm followed by burial in Cloonmorris Cemetery. House private, please. 

Trevor Tomsett - Bornacoola, Co Longford / Co Leitrim

Trevor Tomsett, Bunninassa, Bornacoola, Co Longford / Co Leitrim, peacefully at home. Trevor will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife Mary, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Mass of the Resurrection will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Newtownforbes on Sunday, 6th March at 1.00pm, interment afterwards in Newtownforbes Cemetery. For those of you who would have liked to attend but are unable, may leave their personal messages in the condolences section below.
