Lough Key Tri Club’s Siobhan Murtagh finished out a great year by taking a hard earned third place at the gruelling Sea2Summit Adventure Race in Westport last Saturday.
The event attracted over 400 competitors in the Supreme category, the longest and toughest of the categories on the day.
The Supreme was made up of approximately 13 km of running and 43km of cycling with a trek up and down Croagh Patrick along the way.
Murtagh finished the race in a total of 3 hours 45 minutes in very tough conditions which included wind and rain and also dense freezing fog across the top of Croagh Patrick itself.
