Route of today's water protest march in Dublin.

Representatives of householders in Co Leitrim are expected to be among thousands travelling to Dublin for a rally against water charges  today.

This afternoon’s demonstration gets under way at 1.30pm, with participants gathering at three points around the city before proceeding to St Stephen’s Green.

Speakers from community action groups, trade unions and left-wing political parties opposed to water charges will address the demonstration from a stage set up to the south of the green.

Rolling road closures are expected to take place along the three approach routes – from Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Connolly Station and Heuston Station.
