What to write in the time capsule part of Census 2022?
Some ideas to get you writing!
Time Capsule, Census 2022

Have you had your census delivered yet? If you have had time to flick through it you will have noticed a new section at the back entitled Time Capsule.
There is a blank space left for you to write or draw something that will remain under seal for 100 years - the idea is that you have the opportunity to leave a note to your descendants, who will read this note in the next century.
So what are you going to write on April 3?
Having pondered this question here are some ideas to get your writing:
The names of deceased babies or children in your family who died during pregnancy, birth, or in infancy and who may not have been recorded in the 2016 census. This is a wonderful idea to cherish these precious children we have lost.
Pets - how many do you have, their names, their personalities, their lifestyle (Do they sleep in the bedroom?!)
The price of things - milk, bread, chocolate, internet, and diesel prices will be of interest to people 100 years from now
The News - take a snapshot of the headlines in the national and local media on April 3
Your lifestyle - what are your hobbies, what TV shows do you watch, or books do you read or places do you like to visit
Your goals and dreams, what do you hope for your family, what do you hope for your descendants? Include dream jobs for your children or ideas such as extending the house
Your fears - are you scared about the war in Ukraine, the effects of climate change, or the rising cost of living
Your favourite food, drink, song, kids toys and games, etc
Where was your last holiday to?
Describe your commute, your mode of transport, your disposable income
List your close friends - this could be fun for your descendants to find out who they are and where they live
Your thoughts on Covid or the effect it has had on your family or circumstances
Draw a picture of your home, your family or anything you want!!
You cannot attach anything to the census so everything you want to include must be inside the box.
Let us know any other ideas you have!
