Public lighting
Cllr Caillian Ellis asked Ballinamore Municipal District for an update on public lighting in the Dún na Bó estate in Ballinamore with a report by Roads saying they have received quotations from the contractor to repair/replace the public lighting in the Dún na Bó estate and are now awaiting funding from the Planning Department to commence the works.
Darragh O'Boyle, district engineer said that while Dún na Bó estate has not been taken in charge, however "the public lighting is going to be taken in charge and be repaired. There are around 15 lights with just six working. We need to upgrade the lights to LED lights."
Cllr Ellis complimented the council on drainage works carried out on the R201. He added: "If you could do that on local roads, it would make such a difference."
