Lattone Lough
Leitrim County Council will examine the feasibility of a scheme to improve access to Lattone Lough near Kiltyclogher for vulnerable road users.
Cllr Justin Warnock requested that the Senior Executive Engineer, in collaboration with the Active Travel Team, provide facilities for vulnerable road users along the R281 between Kiltyclogher and Glenfarne, particularly within the village, to access the Lattone Lough walk.
He also sought traffic calming measures on the R283 near St Patrick's Church.
In response, the Roads Department confirmed that the District Engineer’s Office will consult with the Active Travel section on the feasibility of a scheme to access the Lattone Lough walk.

The response also noted that pedestrian safety works were completed under Active Travel funding in 2021 on the R281 from the National School to the village, and in 2023 similar works were carried out on the R283 near the Church.
