Do you know someone who has made a remarkable impact in County Leitrim? Perhaps they're a dedicated volunteer, an inspiring individual who has overcome challenges, or an entrepreneurial spirit who has helped to make positive change.

The Leitrim Guardian 2026 publication is now accepting nominations for its prestigious Person of the Year award.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Anyone aged 18-80 who has demonstrated exceptional contributions to the community, such as:

- Volunteering and helping others
- Showing bravery and resilience in the face of adversity
- Displaying generosity of spirit and inspiring others
- Continuously showing compassion, empathy, integrity, and kindness in their dealings with others whether through their work or their community involvement.
- Driving innovation and entrepreneurship.

How to Nominate :
To nominate someone, please submit the following in writing, signed and by post only:

- The nominee's name and contact details (with their permission).
- A description of their contributions to the county.
- An explanation of why you're nominating them.
