New Choir of Ages members wanted

Ballagh Choir of Ages launch CD

A very special Fundraising Concert will be taking place later this month in Manorhamilton which features the Ballagh Choir of Ages and the launch of their recently recorded CD.

New members are wanted for the Cross Border Intergenerational Ballagh Choir of Ages, which is a cross border and cross community choir made up of older people (55 years +) and children (7 to 13) from Leitrim and Fermanagh.

The choir is supported by the Reconciliation Fund at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and is led by Sligo Choirmaster, Dave Flynn.

Under Dave’s baton the choir sings old classics and modern pop and in doing so it builds positive relationships amongst its member while bringing generations and communities together.

They would especially like to invite older people and children aged 7 to 13 from County Fermanagh to join. It currently meets on one afternoon a month; to sing for pleasure and enjoy social interaction between young and old.

Everyone is invited to check out what the Ballagh Choir of Ages does by having a look at their YouTube video. For further information please contact Sarah, phone 071-9854030 or email rise@rcdc.ie.

The Ballagh Choir of Ages was honoured to sing with a number of other chosen choirs at the ceremonies during the historic visit of Pope Francis I to Croke Park on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
