THE NATIONAL Lottery has made a public appeal to Lotto players, urging them to sift through their old tickets as a jaw-dropping prize worth a staggering €1,000,500 remains unclaimed.
This life-changing windfall was secured through the Lotto Plus Raffle, which typically bestows winnings of €500 upon 60 to 120 lucky players in every draw. However, the particular draw held on August 19 saw a fortuitous player from Monaghan enjoying a significantly higher reward due to a special Raffle event.
The winning Quick Pick ticket, raffle number 3249, was purchased on Thursday 17 August at Centra on Main Street in Emyvale.
In this draw, every ticket bearing the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn on that Saturday was entered into a unique random draw, with one ticket chosen to win an astonishing additional prize of €1 million.
However, time is ticking away for the prize claimants, as the winner has only a little over four weeks left to collect their life-changing prize, as the claim deadline is set for close of business on Friday, November 17, 2023.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery passionately urged all Lotto players who may have purchased a ticket for that particular draw in Emyvale to act swiftly and check their old tickets to ensure they don't miss out on this life-altering €1,000,500 prize.
"The winner is advised to make contact with our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to come to Lotto HQ and claim their €1 million prize," said the spokesperson.
