Consumers who bought faulty bath screens at B&Q are being urged to stop using them due to a major risk of injury.
According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), certain Cooke & Lewis and GoodHome bath screens sold at B&Q are being recalled due to a bonding glue failure.
This fault can lead to the bath screen detaching from the mounting rail and possibly falling on a consumer, leading to injury.
The affected models are C241-P, C240-P, E248-P and C-243P, and the barcodes are 3663602769637, 3663602769620, 3663602769675 and 3663602769651 respectively.
The batch number affected is 02.2023.
The faulty products were manufactured during February 2023 and were on sale between March 2023 and November 2023; there are approximately 68 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
If you have purchased one of the models during the time period above, please stop using it immediately and contact B&Q on the below helpline number for advice.
A free replacement bath screen can be provided where required.
If customers have any further queries, the B&Q helpline can be contacted at 1800 946 327 (Monday to Friday 8.30am–8pm, Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 10am–4pm).
