Gardai say a male pedestrian, aged in his 20s, who was struck by a car was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
Motorists are being advised the road is currently closed for technical examinations and that local diversions in place.

Investigations are ongoing and gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users with camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were in the area between 10.45pm and 11.15pm on Thursday are asked to make it available to gardaí.
