Leitrim Sports Partnership are running a Safeguarding 1 course on Thursday September 27, in Carrick-on-Shannon.
All coaches, Children's officers and Designated Liaison Persons (DLP) must first complete the three hour Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Course. This course educates participants on the implementation of best practice in protecting the welfare of children involved in sport.
The course, which will be held between 7pm-10pm in Leitrim County Council Offices in Carrick, costs €15 and can be booked by emailing sports@leitrimcoco.ie or call 0719650498.
