Leitrim Graveyard gets permission for MAJOR works

Permission granted for an extension to Curraghs South graveyard in Drumkeeran

Leitrim County Council has granted conditional planning permission for an extension to a graveyard in County Leitrim.

The application, submitted last June, relates to the expansion of the graveyard at Curraghs South, Tarmon, in Drumkeeran.

The works will include the construction of a new stone boundary wall around the graveyard, the development of a new site entrance, and all necessary ancillary works.

The application also includes the erection of a columbarium wall, which was approved on Thursday.

The project was granted permission under four conditions, though the specifics of these conditions are not yet clear.
