Republic of Ireland midfielder Jeff Hendrick is expected to complete a loan switch to Sheffield Wednesday on transfer deadline day, according to reports.
The Newcastle United man, who was on loan at Reading during the 2022/23 campaign, has yet to appear in the Magpies' matchday squad this season.
The 31-year-old will play in the Championship again this season once his reported move to Sheffield is confirmed.
Hendrick, who has 79 caps for the Boys in Green, was named in Stephen Kenny's latest Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against France and the Netherlands.
