Tributes paid following sad death of 'kind and witty' man from Leitrim

Tommy Mulligan passed away on Wednesday

Tributes have poured in following the sad death of Tommy Mulligan, late of Camber, Aughavas, Co. Leitrim.

Tommy, predeceased by his parents; Johnny and Mary Kate and his brothers; Jack, Eugene, Jimmy and his sister; Veronica, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

He is deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sisters; Rosemary and Josephine, nieces, nephews, sister in law, brother in law, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Tommy, with one mourner writing,

"Condolences and prayers to Tommy's family and friends, he was a kind and witty man and loved hearing any news. It was a pleasure knowing you Tommy over the past year may your gentle soul rest in peace."

Another wrote,

"Deepest condolences to Tommy's family and friends on his passing A lovely gentleman may he rest in peace."

While another wrote,

"Sincere sympathy to Josephine, Rosemary, Joan, Marie and your family on the sad passing of Tommy. A very helpful neighbour Tommy will be greatly missed around Aughavas and Cloone. May his gentle soul rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Tommy will lie in repose at Smith’s Funeral Home, High St, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim, on Friday, October 18, from 6pm – 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, October 19, at 12 noon, in St Joseph’s Church, Aughavas, followed by burial in the local cemetery.

Tommy's Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/aughavas
