The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Maura Cummins (née Starr) - Millhill Lawns, Manorhamilton, Leitrim / Sligo Town, Sligo

The death has occurred of Maura Cummins (nee Starr) of Millhill Lawns Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim and formerly of Sheeling, Circular Road, Sligo. Funeral arrangements later. House Private Please.

Pat Gallagher -12 Dristernan, Drumshanbo, Leitrim / Lough Allen, Leitrim

The death has occured unexpectedly of Patrick (Pat) Gallagher, 12 Dristernan, Drumshanbo and formerly of Tents, Lough Allen, Co. Leitrim. Predeceased by his sisters Josie Glesson, Mary Bohan and his brother Michael. Deeply regretted by his sister Eithna, brother-in-law Pat, sister-in-law Mai, nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Shivnans Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon on Thursday from 6.00pm until 8.15pm followed by removal to St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo arriving at 9.00pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 1.00pm. Burial afterwards in Curraghs Cemetery, Tarmon. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to The Poor Clare Sisters, Drumshanbo.

John McPartlan -  Drumlease, Dromahair, Leitrim / Drumkeerin, Leitrim

The death has occurred unexpectedly of John McPartlan, known as Johnny, Drumlease, Dromahair and formerly of Corry, Drumkeerin, Co. Leitrim. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers Patrick (Mohill) and Tommy (Corry, Drumkeerin); sisters Mary Munnelly (Tarmon, Drumkeerin) and Noreen McDermott (Cootehall); brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at the residence of his brother Tommy and sister-in-law Lily at Corry, Drumkeerin on Thursday from 4.00pm until 10.00pm. Funeral Mass on Friday in St Colmcille's Church, Newbridge at 10.45am. Burial afterwards in Drumkeerin Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to The Oncology Unit, Sligo University Hospital. House private, please, on the morning of the funeral.

Patricia (Patsy) Walsh (nee Biggins), Keadue Road, Leitrim Village, Leitrim / Ballinrobe, Mayo / Dundrum, Dublin

Patricia (Patsy) Walsh (nee Biggins), Peaceful after a long illness at the residence of her daughter Patricia. Beloved widow of John,and dearly loved mother of Robert, Fiona, Patricia, and Majella. Sadly missed by her grand-daughters Niamh and Catriona, sisters Maura (Rochdale, England) and Nan (Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo) brother- in-law Andy Daffy and sister-in-law Carmel Biggins, her daughter-in-law Ann and sons-in-law Joe and Nick, nephews and nieces, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Remains reposing at her daughter’s residence at Dunamase, Keadue Road, Leitrim Village, Co. Leitrim between 5 pm and 9 pm this Wednesday evening 31st October house private thereafter please. Requiem Mass at 11:30 am on Thursday 1st November in St. Mary’s Church, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo followed by cremation in Lakeland’s Crematorium, Cavan. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if so desired to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Brendan Lynch -  Cabra, Dublin / Blacklion, Cavan

Lynch, Brendan, Cabra and late of Blacklion, Cavan, 29th Oct. 2018. Beloved husband of Kathleen, loving father to Fiona, Clare, Aideen and Catríona. Peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his loved ones, in the care of Beaumont Hospital. He will be deeply regretted by his sons-in-law John, Paul, Allan and Paul, grandchildren Seán, Conor, Evan, Róisín, Aoife, Sarah, Jack, Cillian and Karly: brothers and sisters; Kathleen, Charlie, Maeve and Clare, nieces and nephews, and wide loving family of in-laws.

Removal on Thursday, 1st November, to the Church of the Most Precious Blood Cabra, arriving at 10:45am for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation in Glasnevin. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, in lieu to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
