Carrick RFC's Gerard Murtagh nominated for Connacht Rugby U18 Player of the Year

The impressive performances of Gerard Murtagh with Sligo Grammar School, Connacht and Ireland has seen the Carrick-on-Shannon rugby player nominated for the Connacht Rugby U18 Player of the Year at the Province's annual awards.

The nominations were released on Tuesday afternoon and sees the former Leitrim GAA Minor footballer nominated for the U18 Player of the Year award along with Cian Brady (Monivea RFC/Colásite an Eachréidh) and Tomás Farthing (Corinthians RFC/Colásite Creg Mhuire).

The awards will be presented at Saturday’s 2022/23 Connacht Rugby Awards, presented by G-P (Globalization Partners). There are 16 awards in all, ranging from underage to Professional level across male and female categories. Full details on the night can be found at connachtrugby.ie/awards, and the winners as they happen will be announced across Connacht social media channels.
