Sisters grow award-winning floral business in Drumshanbo

Sisters Carmel and Helena O'Rourke

Drumcong sisters Helena and Carmel O'Rourke are the owners of the award-winning La Belle Fleur florists and The Courtyard Garden Centre.

The ladies set up their business in Drumshanbo in 2000 and have been working locally and nationally since, picking up awards and creating floral masterpieces.
The two sisters have seen their enterprise bloom from a small seed to a successful business that has expanded out of Leitrim to a nationwide audience.

The ladies who always had a passion for flowers and gardening from a young age opened the florist shop back in 2000 and after much hard work and dedication, moved to a new location in 2005.
The newly expanded and recently opened garden centre sells all your gardening needs including a full range of specimen sized flowering shrubs, architectural flowering plants and Spring/ Summer bedding plants.

You can also choose from a large range of posts, compost and fertiliser for all gardening projects.
The sisters have established 'La Belle Fleur' as one of the leading flower specialists in the country, supplying many leading hotels in the area as well as the amazing 5-star Inter-continental Hotel, Dublin and Carton House, Maynooth, Co Kildare.
Carmel and Helena are both professional wedding design experts, are multi-award-winning floral designers, have trained extensively in their field gaining knowledge and experience in the flower and horticulture sector.

Anyone who has visited La Belle Fleur at Church Street, Drumshanbo can see the ladies' flare for creativity, and a flick through their portfolio shows you the extent of their many one-off and unique floral designs.
