Kiltubrid are through to their second Connacht Ladies Senior Championship Final in a row after they held out against a wasteful Kiltubrid of Roscommon, 5-9 to 3-11.
The Leitrim champions will face either Cora Staunton’s Carnacon of Mayo or reigning champions Kilkerrin/Clonberne of Galway in the Final in two weeks time after victory in Dromod on Saturday evening.
The Roscommon side closed the gap to just a point with ten minutes to go but Kiltubrid held out to advance to their second final in a row as Kilbride were left to rue some calamitous goalkeeping that saw them concede two goals to long range shot flying by the goalkeeper.
Two goals from Aine Tighe and one each from Emma & Michelle Guckian and Aine Redican ensured Kiltubrid’s place in the final but it was their defensive solidity that saw Leitrim safely through in the final stages.
