Status Yellow ice warning in place
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow - Low Temperature/Ice warning for Ireland for this evening and into tomorrow morning.
They are warning there will be icy stretches leading to hazardous travelling conditions, especially on untreated roads and paths. Wintry showers will occur in the northwest and southwest. Accumulations are possible, especially in mountainous areas, and this may lead to travel disruption. The warning is valid from 4pm today, Monday, January 16 through to 12pm on Tuesday.
