STEAM summer camp for children aged 6 – 12 years in Carrick-on-Shannon

The Dock is delighted to launch our very first STEAM program summer camp in partnership with RoboThink ‘STEAM Amusement Park’. This camp will take place from Monday 17 – Friday, July 21 from 10am - 1pm daily.

STEAM Amusement Park is your child’s chance to dream up their own amusement park.

In this week-long summer camp, participants will work with tutors from RoboThink to design and construct an amusement park.

Each day will see new robot builds and design tasks all leading up to our big show-and-tell on Friday afternoon where parents will be invited to see our amazing Theme Park!

RoboThink is a fun-focused robotics program designed for children aged 6-12 years. Through RoboThink, children can learn about the principles of engineering and technology by building and designing their own robots.

Children can dive into the world of STEAM and unleash their imaginations. Through these engaging activities, children can learn about science, technology, engineering, art and maths in a fun and interactive manner.

STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. We learn through play, encouraging creativity, teamwork and whilst having fun along the way.

It promotes important life skills like critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving to name just a few, all within a fun and creative environment.
