Breffni Challenge takes place in Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday

On Sunday, 3rd September 5k, 10k and 20K Walk, Run or Jog will take place at 11am from Breffni Family Resource Centre.

The event is being run by Breffni Community Development CLG and Townspark Residents Association. All funds raised will be distributed between both groups.

There has been a great interest in the 3 events. The Walk, Run or Jog for 5K route is around the Carrick area from Breffni FRC, 10K route is around Carrick area from Breffni FRC, Hartley through to Cornamuckla, Keenaghan, Dublin Road, Summerhill and finishing at Breffni FRC.

Map routes will be available from www.breffnifrc.ie

The 20K will take you through similar route, but covering the back roads of Jamestown through to Rosebank and finishing back at Breffni FRC.

There will be drink stations in several locations. Stewards will be in place to direct you and Gardai will be present on main functions. There are a few challenging hills on route!

You can download the Registration Form from the Breffni website. Registration Fee is €10 for the 5K and €15 for the 10K & 20K.

You can also register on the day at Breffni FRC from 10am. Refreshments will be served after the race at Breffni FRC.
