Laetare Vocal Ensemble conducted by Carrick's own Róisín Blunnie
Laetare Vocal Ensemble, conducted by Carrick's own Róisín Blunnie will perform its first Leitrim concert, entitled ‘Underneath the Stars' at St George’s Church, Carrick-on-Shannon, on Saturday, May 26 at 6.30pm.
Since it was formed in 2014, Laetare has had many successes at choral festivals throughout Ireland, receiving awards such as ‘Ireland’s Choir of the Year’ at the Cork International Choral Festival, National Choir of the Year at the Navan Choral Festival, and Premier Choir at the Mayo International Choral Festival, as well as a second prize at the prestigious City of Derry International Choir Festival, where Róisín also received the festival’s special award to a conductor. Tickets (available at the door): €10/€8.
