The May 2023 Homeless Report has been published by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and it showed that 11 adults were accessing emergency accommodation in Co Leitrim during the week of 22-28 May, 2023.
In the North West region, which includes Leitrim, the total number was 122 (78 male and 44 female). Of these, 97 were single adults.
There were 20 families in the North West accessing emergency accommodation during the same timeframe.
The figures for the North West were the lowest in the country.
