WATCH: Another Leitrim Independent candidate elected as count hits 12-hour mark

This brings the total number of candidates elected to eight, leaving only 10 more seats to be filled on the council

As the twelfth hour of counting hits the Landmark Hotel, another candidates has been elected in the Manorhamilton Local Electoral Area.

Having been eliminated, the distribution of Caitriona Bergin's 335 votes saw Independent, Felim Gurn, elected.

The forthcoming fifth count for Manorhamilton will see the distribution of Mr Gurn's surplus 28 votes, and Ms Bohan's surplus 18 votes.

Three seats remain in the Manorhamilton LEA as five more candidates vie for the positions.

Still in the running are Padraig Fallon, Sinn Féin; Justin Warnock, Fianna Fáil; Kevin Comiskey, Fine Gael; Michelle Brennan Shyabo, Sinn Féin; and Eddie Mitchell, Independent.
