The seventh and final count in the Manorhamilton Local Electoral Area sees one candidate celebrate and one commiserate.
Eddie Mitchell, Independent, has been elected while Kevin Cominskey, Fine Gael, sees a miss in the polls.
Mr Mitchell was elected without reaching the quota as he was ahead of Mr Cominskey in the polling race.
Only three seats remain to be filled for Leitrim County Council, all three in the Ballinamore LEA.
