The following deaths have occurred in the wider Leitrim area:

Tony Lenehan, Usna, Woodbrook, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon / Loughlinstown, Dublin

Tony Lenehan, Meadowbrook House, Usna, Woodbrook, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon, formerly Ballyfarnon, Co. Roscommon and Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin, February 21st 2022, unexpectedly, in the devoted care of the staff at Sligo University Hospital and in the presence of his son Patrick. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Freddie. Tony will be sadly missed by his much loved daughter Maria (Mc Padden) son Patrick, son-in-law Alan, grandchildren Conor and Neomi, sister Lily (Mc Morrow) Drumkeerin, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his home, on Wednesday evening (February 23rd) from 3-7 pm, (walk through only please) house private at all other times. Removal to St. Michael’s Church, Cootehall on Thursday morning, to arrive for Mass of Christian Burial at 11.30 am. Interment afterwards in Kilronan Cemetery. Joe McCartin, Lisanover, Ballyconnell, Cavan / Drumreilly, Leitrim

Suddenly at his residence. Predeceased by his father and mother Johnny and Bridget and brother Sean. Deeply regretted by his wife Margaret, sons Daniel (Sabrina) and Kevin (Amanda), daughter Kelly, grandchildren Caitlin, Nicole, Shaunie, Paudie and Orianna, brothers Gerry, Hugh and Martin. Aunt Maggie, Uncle Hughie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Smiths Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, N41 TD62 on Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Removal from his residence on Thursday morning to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Kilnavart for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Rose Reilly (née Brady), Berinagh, Moyne, Longford

Peacefully, in her 88th year, at Mullingar General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Charles, parents, brothers & sisters. Rose will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons Thomas & Sean, daughters in law Sandra & Adele, grandchildren Alannah, Ciara, Gemma, Cathal, Gavin, Dylan, Conor & Gillian, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours & friends. Funeral cortege will be arriving at St. Francis Xavier Church, Moyne on Tuesday 22nd February for requiem Mass at 12 noon. Rose’s Funeral service will be streamed live on http://www.dromard.ie/church/  (House private Tuesday morning). Burial afterwards in Colmcille Cemetery.

Bobby James McGourty, Coolegraine, Dowra, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Bobby James McGourty, Aughrim, Coolegraine, Dowra, Co. Leitrim and formerly Teebawn, peacefully at St. Patrick's Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Maureen, son Seamus and partner Rachel, daughter Rosaleen and partner David, grandchildren Aoibheann, Oisin, Liam and Niamh.Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am at The Church of the Immaculate Conception with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Walkthrough only in the church and funeral home. No handshaking please. Please respect current Health guidelines on the wearing of face masks.

Terry Moran, Dromahair, Leitrim / Maugheraboy, Sligo

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at North West Hospice. Terry, loving husband of Lisa, dear son of Mary and brother of Diane, Michelle, Liam and Laurence. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, mother, sisters, brothers, mother and father in-law Mario and Lesley, sisters-in-law Sarah, Lynette and Charlene, brother-in-law Adrian, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and all those he met. Funeral Cortege will leave his residence on Tuesday morning at 11:00am to arrive at The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception, Sligo for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. Funeral will proceed to Lakelands Crematorium for a private cremation Service after. Nancy Cooney (née Davis), Main Street, Drumlish, Longford

Predeceased by her husband Frank, sister Mary (Rogers), brothers John, Philip, Pat-Joe and Anthony. Prior to her 90th birthday. Peacefully at her residence, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her daughters Mary and Martina, sons-in-law David and Hugh, grandchildren Daniel and Laura, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Removal from her residence on Wednesday, 23rd of February, for 12 noon Mass in St. Mary's Church, Drumlish, followed by burial in local cemetery. House private, please. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Longford Hospice. cFollowing the funeral Mass there will a walk through to allow for condolences to family members. In order to keep everyone safe, please continue to adhere to mask wearing and social distancing, no handshaking.
