Local Fine Gael members gathered in Ballinamore on Friday last, November 10, to select their candidates for the June 2024 local elections.
The two outgoing councillors were nominated and duly selected on the night without a contest.
Cllr Ita Reynolds-Flynn and Cllr Enda McGloin were the candidates for the party at the 2019 local elections and secured the two seats, the party had one councillor going into that local election.
The convention was chaired by Cavan Senator Joe O’Reilly and attended by local Fine Gael TD, Frank Feighan.
The Fine Gael Manorhamilton selection convention is due to take place on Sunday, November 26, at the Bee Park Centre, while there is no date set yet for the remaining area, Carrick-on-Shannon.
