The draw for the provincial county championships for 2026 was made last night.

The event, which was streamed live, saw Leitrim picked to face neighbours Sligo in the quarter-final stage of the competition.

Leitrim made it competitive with Mayo last season when they met in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada in the semi-final stage of the competition, and will be hoping to go a step further against Sligo.

The winner between Sligo and Leitrim will meet champions Galway, who were drawn to go straight into the Connacht semi-final stage.

Roscommon will face New York, while Mayo meet London. The winners of these clashes will contest the first semi-final.

Mayo and Galway are on opposite sides of the draw; barring any upsets, there is a good chance there could be a third meeting of the sides in the Connacht final in three years.

Elsewhere, Tyrone play 2024 All-Ireland champions Armagh in the preliminary quarter-finals in Ulster, while 2025 All-Ireland finalists Donegal play Down in the quarter-final.

All-Ireland champions Kerry will play Clare in the Munster semi-final.

In the Leinster championship, Dublin meets the winners of Carlow and Wicklow in the quarter-final, with champions Louth facing Wexford in the quarter-finals.
