Deaths in Donegal

Michael (Mike Joe) Ward - Mohill, Co Leitrim
The death has occurred of Michael Ward (Mike Joe), Rosharry, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, on Saturday, February 25th, peacefully in the loving care of all the staff of Arus Carolan Nursing Unit, Mohill in his 99th year. Pre-deceased by his brother Sean, sister Kathleen (Lowe). Deeply regretted by his sister Maura Stenson (Carrick on Shannon), brother Seamus and sister-in-law Margaret (Hill St, Mohill). Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Joan, Regina, Gerard, Patricia, Helen, Kathleen, Michelle, Marie, Brendan, John, Chris and their extended families, grand nieces and nephews and friends. May Michael Rest in Peace. Funeral Mass on Monday, 27th February, at 12 noon in St. Patrick’s Church, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Marita Ann McGrath - Blacklion, Co Cavan
The death has occurred of Marita Ann McGrath, Riverview, Blacklion, Co. Cavan, peacefully, on Saturday, 25th February. Predeceased by her son Peter, sadly missed by her loving husband John Joe, daughters Shirley, Helen, Caroline, Katy, Bridget, Roisin and Anne, sons Paddy and Felix, sister Georgina, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends. May her gentle soul Rest In Peace. Marita Ann will repose at her daughter Bridget’s house, 7 Glen Eoin, Station Road, Manorhamilton, F91 H5H0, on Sunday 26th and Monday 27th from 5 until 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Killinagh, Blacklion, for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Killinagh Cemetery. Margaret Moohan - Bundoran, Co Donegal
The death has occurred of Margaret Moohan, (née Murphy), Drumacrin, Bundoran, Co. Donegal on Saturday, 25th February, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. (President of Bundoran GAA Club). Beloved wife of the late Gerry Moohan and loving mother to Bosco, Pauline (Keaney), Majella (Gethins) and Gearldine (Walsh). Deeply regretted by her loving son, daughters, sons-in-law, her adored 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, her brothers Terence (Mary), Hughie, sister Bridget (Sean), sister-in-law Mary (UK) and all her many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Margaret Rest in Eternal Peace. Reposing at the Family Home on Sunday, 26th February from 2pm to 8pm and Monday, 27th February from 4pm to 9pm. House private at all other times please. Removal from there on Tuesday morning 28th Feb at 10.15am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, burial afterwards in Finner Cemetery, Bundoran. Maura Gilligan - Cootehall, Co Roscommon
The death has occurred of Maura Gilligan (née Duffy) Cootehall, Co Roscommon (Retired Teacher) on Saturday, 25th February, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the care of the nurses and staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle. Pre-deceased by her husband Sean, sisters Bridgeen, Margaret and Kay. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving sister Una, brother-in-law Jackie, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours, past pupils and many good friends. Rest In Peace. Maura will repose at her home on Wednesday, 1st March from 2 o'clock until 6 o'clock followed by removal to St. Michael's Church, Cootehall arriving at 7 o'clock. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 12 o'clock with funeral afterwards to Ardcarne Cemetery.
