Over €11,000 raised from Daffodil Day in Carrick-on-Shannon

Margaret and Micheal O’Rourke, Hartley, Carrick-on-Shannon on early morning duty at Masterson's Centra, Dublin Road, two of the great volunteers helping out on the day.

Carrick-on-Shannon Guild of ICA together with many, many volunteers and Chris Kelly, Coordinator for Daffodil Day, helped to raised the fabulous sum of €11,248.

This phenomenal result includes a collection from sales at the Market Yard on Thursday morning, March 23.

Chris wishes to thank all volunteers for their help on the day, managers at Tesco, Aldi, SuperValu, The Market Yard, Corrib Oil filling station and Masterson's Centra filling station.

The money has been lodged at the AIB Carrick-on-Shannon for the Irish Cancer Society.

Well done and thanks to each and everyone that helped in any way.
