The Hun National School, Mohill
Sligo Leitrim TD Frank Feighan has warmly welcomed funding announced by the Minister for Education, Norma Foley TD to facilitate the addition of a new classroom for the Hunt School in Mohill, Co Leitrim.
The successful application will provide for a new (mainstream) general classroom which is funded under the ‘additional school accommodation programme’.
The exact amount of the grant is not released due to procurement rules.
“This is good news for the community, hopefully work on procurement can be advanced as soon as possible and that there won’t be any major disruption to pupils in the classrooms and work is completed before the end of 2024.
“In conclusion I wish to congratulate the school principal and the board of management on their successful application”, concluded Deputy Feighan.
