Carrigallen Vocational School
A planning application has been submitted by Mayo, Sligo, and Leitrim Education and Training Board (MSLETB) to Leitrim County Council seeking retention permission at Carrigallen Vocational School.
The application requests retention permission to keep several temporary modular buildings on site for an additional period of five years.
It asks for permission to keep one modular building which contains three classrooms for Special Educational Needs students, and one multipurpose classroom for an additional five years.
The application also seeks permission to keep a temporary modular building that serves as a science room for another five years, as well as a general purpose classroom housed in another temporary modular building for the same period.
Furthermore, the retention permission includes ensuring all temporary buildings are properly connected to essential services and that the surrounding land is properly maintained.
A decision is due to be made by November 4, 2024.
