A 19-year-old man from Boyle, Co. Roscommon was arrested in the early hours of last Saturday morning, November 19th at a checkpoint at Cortober, Carrick-on-Shannon.
The man was arrested for alleged drug driving. His car was seized by Gardai and detained for a drugs search. Cannabis herb valued at €1,500 was later found concealed in the car.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
