Leitrim’s Fringe Festival which take place annually in summer around Ballinamore will not go ahead this year.

The festival which invites musicians, comedians, bands and artists and entertainers of all kinds to perform for free is hoping to return in 2020 after taking a break this year.
The festival has been held for the past eight years, it started in Ballinamore after the annual August Family Festival but has recently moved dates and venues to Drumcoura City.

The Fringe Festival won the Best Festival of the Year 2017’ from Pure M.
The festival relies on a lot of volunteers and free beds to accommodate the weekend event which attracts performers from around the world.

It is understood the event will not go ahead this year as the organisers are busy with other projects. The people behind the festival have informed their followers they ill be back in 2020.
