GARDAÍ have seized approximately €25,000 of controlled drugs and arrested one man following a multi-agency search operation in Dundalk on Thursday.
This operation was carried out by Dundalk Drugs Unit, with assistance from Dundalk Crime Unit, Regular Unit, Dog Unit, Armed Support Unit, Louth Divisional Search Team, Revenue Customs and the Dog Warden.
During the course of these searches approximately €25,000 of suspected cannabis was seized.
The drugs will be sent for forensic analysis.
Three designer watches and a luxury car were also seized under Section 7 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006.
In total, over €25,000 worth of controlled drugs, a quantity of cash and in excess of €30,000 in assets were seized.
One man in his 20s was arrested during the course of this operation and detained at a Garda Station in Co. Louth. He has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
Investigations are ongoing.
