Christmas tree recycling available in Leitrim this January

As January 6 approaches and households prepare to bid farewell to the Christmas season by taking down their trees, Leitrim County Council has announced that Christmas tree recycling is available in the county.

You can drop off your tree at two designated recycling sites.

These are Mohill Civil Amenity Site, located at the former landfill site and Manorhamilton Civil Amenity Site , situated adjacent from the sewerage treatment plant.

Tree recycling will be available on select days throughout January.

Fridays: January 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Saturdays: January 4, 11, 18 and 25.

This is a convenient method to responsibly dispose of your Christmas tree as the holiday season comes to a close.
