A disqualified driver who was caught behind the wheel for a third time in a just four weeks, is facing prosecution before the courts, gardai have confirmed.
The motorist was pulled over while driving in Portlaoise, in Co. Laois at the weekend.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrol in Portlaoise town on Saturday evening arrested the driver of this vehicle who was driving while disqualified. This is the third time in the past month that this individual has been arrested behind the wheel,” read a social media post from gardai, highlighting the detection.
“The vehicle was seized and the driver charged to appear again before Portlaoise District Court,” gardaí stated.
No further information relating to the driver has been disclosed publicly as the matter is due to come before the courts.
