Manorhamilton baseed company, CampusConnect, was recently invited to meet with the British Ambassador

Manorhamilton baseed company, CampusConnect, was recently invited to meet with the British Ambassador in Carrick-on-Shannon.

CampusConnect are a leading education technology company. They met with the Ambassador to discuss the company’s growing presence within the UK higher education sector and future opportunities for expansion.

The meeting provided an opportunity for CampusConnect to showcase its innovative approach to peer-to-peer recruitment and marketing, a strategy now widely used across UK higher education.

CampusConnect helps universities attract and secure top applicants by connecting them with best-matched current students (ambassadors), support staff and communities of fellow prospective students, months before they arrive on campus. Current UK university partners include the University of Nottingham, Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Salford and EdgeHill University, all of which are popular with Irish students.

Representatives from CampusConnect outlined how important peer support is for students in making confident, better-informed career choices. First hand insight helps students choose the path that is right for them, and making connections before they start means they are less likely to feel isolated and more likely to progress.

For universities, this means turning more applicants into enrolments and keeping students through the crucial first year. CampusConnect works with UK applicants through UCAS, as well as postgraduate and international students who apply directly.

The discussions also explored emerging trends and challenges in the sector, and opportunities for further growth and collaboration in the UK market.

Speaking following the meeting, Declan Sweeney, Director and CEO of CampusConnect, said, “We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet with the British Ambassador and discuss the work we are doing with UK universities.

“It was an important conversation about the value of authentic insight for those choosing their careers, the future of a changing higher education sector, and the role that technology, and AI in particular, can play in supporting students, their families, schools, universities and employers,” he commented.

The invitation reflects CampusConnect’s growing reputation within the EdTech sector and the increasing recognition of peer-to-peer recruitment as a strategy that benefits students and universities alike. As the company continues to expand its UK partnerships from its base in North Leitrim, it remains focused on combining technology with a genuinely human approach to helping students succeed.
