Bornacoola's Shane Mallon has been named to start on the Ireland team to take on Wales in Friday's Six Nations International against Wales in Cork.
The Longford RFC and UCD RFC has been named on at the wing at number 11 for the game in Musgrave Park (8pm kickoff) and Leitrim fans will be able to watch the action with the game being televised live on RTE2.
The news has been greeted with delight with Longford RFC tweeting "Congratulations to #Longford #Rugbys Shane Mallon who will start on the wing for #Ireland U20s v Wales on Friday night in Musgrave Park at 8PM. The match will be live on RTE 2. We cannot wait! Best of luck to Shane and all his team mates."
