The Dock has added a very special event with Music Artist in Residence Cormac Begley playing with the incredible cellist Rushad Eggleston on Saturday, May 12 at 8.30pm.
These two amazing musicians are on a short national tour and their performance in The Dock will take place in the upstairs galleries.
Rushad Eggleston is an improvisational cellist, singer, legend, clown, goblin, cello-shredder and acrobat. He is regarded as one of the leading cellists of his generation and is an innovator who has expanded the soundscape and popularity of the cello in recent years.
In 2002 his self-titled Compass Records release with Fiddlers 4 was nominated for a Grammy Award.
Cormac Begley is bass, baritone, treble and picollo concertina player from west-Kerry.
His recent debut album has received widespread acclaim, amassing 9 five star reviews to date and has been described an 'earthy delight' (Irish Times), 'Folking, and 'Spectacular' (Irish Echo).
Following sold out shows in Dublin's National Concert Hall, and a nationwide tour last September, Cormac and Rashad play this special one off concert at The Dock and it is one not to be missed!
