VIDEO: Woman catches one of Ireland's biggest fish weighing in at a shocking 55 stone!

Donegal native Aoife McGettigan was home visiting from Australia when she made the largest catch ever made on the Fiona Tee

A woman from Donegal caught one of the largest fish ever caught in Ireland on her visit home from Australia.

Aoife McGettigan from Killybegs in Donegal made the largest catch ever made on the Fiona Tee on Killybegs Fishing Tours and caught a giant fish weighing in at 760lb (55 stone).

The Bluefin Tuna measured in at a whopping 8ft 8inches!

“A Day to remember for us, we have just gone and broken the record here on the Fiona tee, we have caught the biggest Tuna ever on our boat, a butterball at 760lb, and to make it extra special, it was my baby sister who's home from Australia that caught it,” Killybegs Fishing Trips posted.  “So great to have Aoife out today, and making memories”.
