Substantial funding is being committed to improving road links to the north west and across the country under the Project Ireland 2040 plan unveiled in Sligo this morning.

Under the plan €7.3 billion is earmarked for for regional road accessibility investing in national roads across Ireland, plus €4.5 billion for regional and local, improving links to the north west in particular.
