Brigid Annie Bohan (née Molloy) of O’Carolan Court, Mohill, and formerly of Drumgowna, Gortletteragh, passed away peacefully in her 102nd year on Saturday, November 29.

Tributes are being paid to a Leitrim woman described as “wonderful, kind and caring,” following her peaceful passing on Saturday, November 29.

Brigid Annie Bohan (née Molloy) of O’Carolan Court, Mohill, and formerly of Drumgowna, Gortletteragh, passed away peacefully in her 102nd year under the compassionate care of staff at Aras Carolan Nursing Home, Mohill.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Pat, and her siblings Johnny, Tommy, and Alice. 

Brigid Annie will be deeply missed by her close friends Mary Carroll and Sissie Bohan, her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Condolences on RIP.ie have celebrated her long and fulfilling life. “What a lovely friendly lady she was, and after a long life well lived, may her kind and gentle soul rest peacefully alongside her late husband John Pat and her siblings gone before her,” one message read.

Brigid Annie reposed at the residence of her niece Philomena at No. 8 Main Street, Drumsna, on Monday, followed by removal to St Patrick’s Church, Mohill.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 2, at 11am, with burial to follow in Gortletteragh Cemetery.

“A lovely lady, a long life well spent. Now to be reunited with John Pat and her loved ones gone before her. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” said another condolence.

“I have known Brigid Annie for a long number of years, always so nice and friendly. May her gentle soul rest in peace,” read another tribute.
