Michael Heslin, Druminbawn, Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim

The death has occurred of Michael Heslin, Druminbawn, Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim, Tuesday 15th February 2022 peacefully after a short illness surrounded by his family in the care of the nurses and staff of the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents; Eddie and Mary and his infant sister; Geraldine. Deeply regretted by his daughters; Michelle, Áine, Lorraine and their mother; Mary, sisters; Mary Charles (Drumshanbo North) and Deirdre Connolly (Newtowngore), brothers; Peter (Clare), Dominic (Offaly), Eamon (Druminbawn) and Dermot (Belfast), sisters-in-law; Ann and Celina, brothers-in-law; Pat and Brian, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins, mother-in-law; Bridie Guckian, neighbours and friends.

Michael will repose at the residence of his brother; Eamon (Eircode H12 YY62) on Wednesday (16th February 2022) from 4.00pm – 9.00pm and on Thursday (17th February) from 4.00pm – 8.00pm. 

Remains to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Aughavas on Friday (18th February) for funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private outside reposing times, please. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to Palliative Care, Cavan General Hospital c/o McKeon’s Funeral Directors, Cloone. Please adhere to mask wearing, no handshaking and social distancing protocols. The family appreciate your sympathy and understanding at this difficult time.

Denis Burns, Kilmaclenine Castle, Ballyclough, Cork / Drumshanbo, Leitrim

Burns ( late of Kilmaclenine Castle, Ballyclough, Mallow and Drumshanbo, County Leitrim) February 15th 2022. Denis passed away peacefully in the tender and loving care of the Matron and Staff at Strawhall Nursing Home, Fermoy. Sadly missed by his loving family, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing in O’Keeffe’s Funeral Home, Bank Place, Buttevant, on Thursday 17th February from 6.00pm to 7:00pm, followed by removal to St.Mary’s Church Buttevant. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12:30pm. Funeral afterwards to the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. All those attending the funeral services are asked to please respect social distancing guidelines.

Michael (Mike) Cummins, Millhill Lawns, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, formerly of Circular Road, Sligo Town

The death has occurred of Michael (Mike) Cummins, Millhill Lawns, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, formerly of Circular Road, Sligo Town. Predeceased by his beloved Maura. Sadly missed by his children, Fiona, Helen (Nel), Michéle, David and Aleem, sons-in-law Dave and Nick, daughters-in-law Annette and Fem, grandchildren Aifric, Macdara, Josh, Ethan, Kian, Luca, Dáithí, Saoirse, Yusuf, Zayn and Laila, great-granddaughter Isabelle, sisters Margaret, Carmel, Breege and Toni, brothers Seamus and Thomas, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and large circle of friends.

Reposing at his family home on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8.30pm with house private thereafter. Removal to St. Clare's Church, Manorhamilton on Friday morning for Funeral Mass at 10.30am followed by private cremation. Aoife Donegan Kennedy, Gortahoose, Carrigallen, Leitrim

Peacefully, at St Vincent's private hospital surrounded by her husband and loving family. Loved and sadly missed by her adoring parents, Des and Josephine, sisters Gráinne and Niámh, best friend and husband Amhairghean, Godson Oisín, grandmother Maureen and extended Donegan, Quinn and Kennedy family, friends, children and staff at St Peter's National School, Phibsboro and fellow researchers in the school of Education UCD. Reposing at her family home today, Wednesday 16th, from 4pm until 6pm - shuttle bus will be in operation from Drumreilly Community Centre (Eircode H12XY92) during reposing times. House open to close friends and family only at all other times, please.

Funeral Mass on Thursday 17th at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Drumreilly (Eircode H12XY92). The funeral Mass will be livestreamed (link to follow shortly). Followed by cremation at 3.30pm in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan (Eircode H12RF78) (link to follow shortly). Bernard (Barney) O'Boy, Slieve View, Mohill, Leitrim / Gortletteragh, Leitrim

The death has occured of Bernard (Barney) O’Boy, Slieve View, Mohill, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Cattan, Mohill, who passed away on Sunday the 13th of February 2022 peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of St. Patrick’s Hospital, Carrick on Shannon. Predeceased by his wife; Anna, sister; Cissie and brother; Sonny. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughter; Ruth, son; Leonard (UK), son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Remains to arrive at St. Patrick’s Chruch, Mohill on Thursday 17th February 2022 for funeral mass at 11.00am followed by cremation to Lakelands’s Crematorium, Dublin Road Cavan for cremation at 1.00pm. Bernard’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchtv.ie/mohill

P.J. Conroy, Kilbarry, Rooskey, Tarmonbarry, Co Roscommon

P.J. Conroy, Kilbarry, Rooskey, Co Roscommon died on Monday 14th February 2022. Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Mary. P.J. will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his Daughter Marina, Son Padraigh, Daughter in law Pauline, Son in law Dominick, Grandaughters Sheena, Ashling and Bernadine, Grandsons Dominick and Emmett, Nephews, Nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home in Kilbarry on Tuesday 15th from 5pm to 8pm. Removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Whitehall on Wednesday Morning for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock. Burial afterwards in Kilbarry Cemetery. Delia Sheehan (née Mc Padden), Wembley, London and formerly of, Arigna, Roscommon

The family of Delia Sheehan, are sad to share the news of her passing on 29th January 2022. Delia, cherished wife of Ted and loving mother of Barry and Alan, passed peacefully at home with her family. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Ted, sons Barry and Alan, daughter in laws, Bernie and Kathryn, grandchildren Joshua, Isaac and Iwan, sisters Bernadette and Gretta, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Erconwald’s Roman Catholic Church, Wembley at 10am on Monday, 21st February, followed by burial at Gunnersbury Cemetery, Acton. The funeral Mass will be streamed live on https://www.churchservices.tv/wembley3
